The security of our facilities is a top priority for Georgia Gulf. The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 called attention to the need for unprecedented security measures. Without waiting for government mandates, Georgia Gulf, along with all other companies, quickly adopted the Responsible Care® Security Code to further protect our chemical facilities, our chemicals transportation systems, our communities and our products.
The Responsible Care® Security Code is widely recognized by the Department of Homeland Security and state and local governments as a model for the chemical industry and other U.S. industries. Under this code, Georgia Gulf conducts comprehensive facility security vulnerability assessments, implements security enhancements, and obtains independent verification of these enhancements.
